, upper 40s. 48 for fremont, oakland at 51. san francisco at 53. two differences between this storm and the previous three. first off, the atmosphere is not as juicy. the tropical moisture is not there. yes, a front, but not a front producing heavy rainfall. the second change, we have an area of high pressure building to the south, taking the storm track and shoving it just far enough to the north that any moderate to heavy rainfall that does fall will fall not over the bay area, but instead about three to four hours to the north. so the storm check has been bumped up to the north. yes we're going to have a front and a rainfall beginning tomorrow evening. but no, no flooding will be involved. heavy rainfall will stay away from the bay area. so showers are back tomorrow afternoon. on and off rain showers throughout the day on wednesday. flooding is not a big concern, but it will be wet on wednesday. now after wednesday, we're going to be drying out for you. so it will be cloudy with rain moving in late. concordat 62. oakland at 62 for the high. 63 degrees here. low 60s in pleasant hi
are headed southbound towards fremont but it appears it is okay. let's check in with steve. >>> mostly cloudy skies, a couple of breaks, but them fill in and this is a weaker system but this is a far cry. a little bit has started up into lake mendocino county mostly cloudy light rain to the north, not much of a breeze, southeast wind will pick up and rain will pick up this evening and take us into tomorrow morning. it is a little more active and most of this is headed towards mendocino. willits, ukiah, things are beginning to pick up, sonoma county, it is west near the russian river, cass zero seems to be the line, but tonight and tomorrow for everybody else into tomorrow, it is 53 or 54 and the lows will provide that lift we need. this is just a warm sector but we can still get rain out of it. some of that rain is heading into the north bay and dipping and 50s and 60s in the way of temperatures. in the santa clara 50s and 60s. thursday friday and saturday, there will be a lot of it and pattern changes, it will be windy as well. >>> they will pay 13 quarter dividends this christmas and it is
. temperatures are generally in the upper 50s to about 60 in fremont. visibility is down just a bit in some locations, down to two miles at livermore, two miles at half moon bay as we are getting fog developing in some spots. these are forecast features, areas of fog developing overnight. mostly sunny days, turning milder and remaining mild for quite a while. here a satellite radar composite high pressure building in behind the frontal system that brought us dreary weather. this high pressure ridge is going to bring us nice sunny days but follow the time line. as some of the clouds move out, fog starts to settle in. areas of fog overnight and by the beginning of rush hour tomorrow morning, there will be reduced visibility in some areas. low temperatures will drop into the upper 40s in much of the north bay. right around or just about 50 in the remainder of the bay area. then tomorrow, sunshine. something we haven't seen for a while in the south bay. high temperatures in the low 60s. 61-62 in most locations up to 63 in los gatos. 62 palo alto and on coast. 59 in pacifica. downtown san franci

fremont. back to you guys. >> new this morning, a high- speed chase caused a chp patrol car to flip over in livermore. it happened just before 4 a.m. on eastbound 580 between greenville and north flynn roads. the officer was chasing the speeding car when the patrol car flipped. the driver sped away. other officers caught up to the car in tracy and then pulled it over. two officers in that flipped car were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. >>> also this morning, a car smashes into a fence next to a house in campbell in the middle of the night on central avenue. police say they tried to stop the car for a traffic violation. well, a chase began and then the car crashed. the driver got out and ran and was later caught. police now say the car involved was stolen. >>> it is 5:39. contra costa county supervisors will consider plans this week to close 4 more fire stations. the chief says it's all necessary after the failure of a parcel tax hike to fund the district. the county is looking at closing stations in walnut creek, clayton, martinez and lafayette to save about $3 million. >>> t
